Designer

Designer is the Mac and PC application you create using a combination of Taopix Creator and Taopix Control Centre. You decide on the product mix, size, number of pages, covers and paper types you wish to sell. Includes new product selection process with intuitive timeline feature. Also features new Smart Dynamic Templates that allow the user to change product size and covers during the design process.

Taopix Designer streams live pricing, notifications and new products from the web via AutoUpdate and includes intelligent flight-check and order screens.

Production

The Taopix Production module gives a helicopter view of all orders and their status and supports output in many formats: PDF, Vector PDF, TIFF & JPEG.

New features include multiple download streaming, enhanced automation including automated printing, enhanced administration, crop marks and trim box and centre spread bleed overlap for lay flat books.

Taopix Production also offers multiple print output options that include raster and simple and advanced vector PDF.

Creator

Taopix Creator allows you to create, modify and upload all of the components required for a successful Taopix deployment.

Creator’s Smart Dynamic Templates tools make template creation easy; simply create one master template for each collection and the software will dynamically resize to other sizes whilst maintaining page style integrity. Creator allows you to add multiple covers per collection and add upsell features per product.

Social Sharing

Your customers’ photographs are not always on their local hard drive or memory stick, they’re just as likely to be stored in a Facebook or Flickr account. That’s why we include the facility to download images from these popular sites into the customer’s project as well as being able to choose from files stored locally on their hard drive. This feature is designed to give access to more images from multiple sources that can then be used to make more books and therefore generate more orders for you!

Library Link

Content-sharing sites with stock photography available for purchase and download can now be connected directly to Taopix Designer.

A special API has been developed so you, or your clients, can team up with a preferred licensed content owner to deliver high quality images to the end user via the Taopix Designer application. This feature opens up a whole new range of possibilities for you to build ready made, themed books with mixed personal and licensed content. Library Link provides secure login screens and a library search and navigation feature.

ProType

Our new in-line vector text engine is a powerful tool that allows free rotation of text boxes, bi-directional language support, paragraph and character spacing, enhanced paragraph alignment and skewing, width, border and stroke effects.

The new text tool provides some of the most advanced typographical features available and is designed to keep you one step ahead of the competition.

MultiTalk

All Taopix modules are currently available in 21 languages. Wherever your customers are located, the Designer download will install using the default language installed on their Macintosh or PC.

Supported languages are: English, French, German, Dutch, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Italian, Thai, Spanish, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese, Polish, Italian, Korean, Slovenian and Czech.

Profit+

Profit+ is an upsell tool based on Smart Dynamic Template technology that prompts the end user to upgrade to larger sizes, higher quality covers or specialist mediavia an Automatic Upsell Window. It also makes it easy for the user to resize a book during the creation process.

AutoUpdate

AutoUpdate is the mechanism that allows you to deliver new content and updates to all your Mac and PC customers.

This powerful tool is the bridge between cloud and computer and ensures that your customers are kept up to date with all the latest promotions and product enhancements.AutoUpdate enables you to react quickly to market opportunities, introduce new products and pricing, deliver critical updates and withdraw redundant products.

Brand Builder

Allows the creation of completely bespoke applications for yourself and for potential partners. Brand Builder’s flexibility gives you access to B2C and B2B2C business models to target the consumer, professional, prosumer and education markets. New features include brand owner login screens, brand logo within the license key and optional branding on merchandise.

Many parts of the application can be branded; the installer, desktop icon, splash screen, shopping cart and even the customer account page. Brand Manager gives you the opportunity to leverage from other companies’ customers and gain access to an immediate customer base.

Cipher Safe

Our secure file delivery involves the encryption of your customer’s file at the upload stage (just after ordering) and automatic decryption by your Taopix Production Server.

This secure delivery of data ensures that your customer cannot obtain a printable version of their file that could be printed elsewhere. Cipher Safe also encrypts content you supply for use by the end user such as backgrounds, masks, frames and scrapbook items.

ePay

The shopping cart is partnered with an impressive range of almost 50 worldwide payment gateways and even more currencies for you to choose from. You can operate cross-borders with multiple, concurrent payment gateways and currencies.

You can also configure ePay to work with your brand partners and offer a different payment gateway per brand or different merchant accounts for the same gateway per brand.

Collect from Store

Our unique ‘Collect from Store’ feature allows you to form lasting partnerships with retailers and offer them increased footfall in-store.

Customers can easily order their photo gift on-line and choose a store location to collect from as a shipping option instead of having to pay for delivery.

Connect

Taopix Connect provides a gateway for data from the Taopix platform to other systems within your business.

Connect offers a link from your Taopix server to external MIS, workflow and third party production systems.

Connect works with a series of 17 trigger points that can output XML data and execute custom tasks via PHP scripts. Tasks include hot folder monitoring and status information updates.

The Taopix Connect module also is the key component that allows Shopping Centre break-out for those who already have an e-commerce platform. It provides an API for use with an external shopping cart but allows you to retain full integration to the Taopix workflow.

Publisher

The Publisher module gives you the ability to partner with an on-line bookstore and offer book production facilities to those looking to self-publish.

Any end user can become a publisher and publish any product created in Taopix Designer. The publisher has the ability to profit from all purchases made which means repeat orders for the licensee.

The end user creates their book in Taopix Designer and the Control Centre module provides the connection between the bookstore and your Taopix Production module. An API is provided to enable integration.

Multisite

Multisite is a scalable module which is ideally suited to large print and photo lab companies (as well as franchises) that require efficient, multiple site photo book production. Multisite consists of both Production and Business Unit licenses.

Production licenses allow files to be routed and output at multiple locations. Business Unit licenses give individual sites the autonomy to create bespoke products, brands, pricing etc with their own access to the host Control Centre.

Single Prints

The Single Prints workflow allows the Print Service Provider to sell variable sized, multiple prints from single images. The end user adds their images and chooses from a range of sizes and auto fit and auto rotation options. Masks, vignettes and image enhancement can also be applied.
